Streaming Video Sparks Clash, Deputies at Conesville Meeting

The Conesville Town Hall was packed Monday well before the 7:30 town council meeting began. A dozen members of the public arrived early, including two deputies of the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office. In the pre-meeting preparations, there was a clear dividing line regarding the topic of live streaming the meeting via video over the internet. Resident Fred Ruckel brought equipment in order to do so, quickly followed to the meeting by Town Supervisor Bill Federice and the two aforementioned deputies. Shortly thereafter, Town Attorney Michael West arrived.
